The Future of "Knowledge Economy" Roundtable

Business Roundtable featuring Harvard Professor, Roberto Unger

A new, knowledge-intensive and radically innovative practice of production has emerged in all the major economies of the world. Not limited to the high-technology industry, with which it is often identified, it exists in every sector of the advanced economies. Roberto Mangabeira Unger, Roscoe Pound Professor of Law at Harvard University, will lead a discussion on January 23 on the future of the knowledge economy and its importance in fostering sustained economic growth and prosperity.

A former Minister of Strategic Affairs in Brazil, Professor Unger argues if the knowledge economy can be fostered to include a larger proportion of firms and workers, we will have struck a powerful blow in favor of greater sustained growth and less inequality. His presentation will analyze the workings and potential of the knowledge economy to foster greater economic growth and shared prosperity.
